The Town of Los Gatos and otherbay areagovernment entitiesbelong to Joint Power Authorities (JPAs)that provide or oversee variouscontractual services. The JPA meetings are open to the public and are posted in accordance with the Ralph J. Brown Act.

West Valley Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Agency (JPA) Board of Directors
The West Valley Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Agency (JPA) Board of Directors reviews issues related to the solid waste management franchise, disposal, recycling, and yard waste agreement for the communities of Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereo, and Campbell. All of the west valley citiescontract for solid waste collection and disposal services through the JPA. The current solid waste provider is West Valley Collection and Recycling.

Bay Area Employee Relations Service (BAERS)
The Bay Area Employee Relations Service is a Joint Powers Agency consisting of city, county, and other government entities in the San Francisco Bay Area. The purpose of BAERS is to provide a mechanism whereby Bay Area government agencies and their human resources professionals can share information used to support activities, such as labor negotiations, position/classification studies and compensation and benefit policy reviews.

West Valley Sanitation District Board of Directors
West Valley Sanitation District of Santa Clara Countyserves the cities of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and portions of the unincorporated areas in the West Valley. The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, comprised of one member from each of the four cities served by the District, and a County Supervisor.

Meeting Time
