Our department is committed to providing the highest quality service with a small town feel to our residents, businesses and visitors. We strive to increase safety, reduce crime, and improve the overall well-being of our neighborhood.

Building community relationships.

We know that we must be engaged with the community to understand the issues in our region fully and to successfully respond to them. The Department is a leader and strong partner with the community, non-profit organizations, and schools to address community issues and challenges.

Engaging in community problem solving.

We know we must be engaged with the community to understand the issues of our community fully and to successfully respond to them. For example, we coordinate collaborative community programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Youth Party Guidelines, New Resident Outreach, Anti-Cyberbullying Training, Safe Routes to School Plans, and many others.

Our ultimate goal is to know everyone in the community. We believe that through all of our individual contacts and connections, we can know every resident of Los Gatos and Monte Sereno. If you need to report a crime or contact a member of the department, please call our 24-hour non-emergency dispatch number at 408-354-8600.
