On November 13, 2015 at approximately 1:40 p.m., Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Officers responded to a call of two black females causing a disturbance and engaged in a physical confrontation with a victim in the parking lot of Safeway on N. Santa Cruz Ave
On October 30, 2015 at approximately 10:45 a.m., Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department responded to a call of a possible robbery that occurred at Safeway located at 15549 Union Ave. The victim's purse was stolen from the victim's shopping cart by an unknown female suspect, who ran out of the store to a parked vehicle. The vehicle was described as a red, 4-door, sedan, with white and black paper license plates, occupied by another female suspect in the passenger seat. When the victim confronted the female suspects at their parked vehicle in an attempt to retrieve her purse, the suspect reversed the vehicle and nudged the victim, causing the victim to jump out of the way to avoid further injury. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle which was last seen north on Union Ave. Suspect #1 was described as a black female adult in her 20's, 5'6" to 5'7" tall, thin build, with long black hair. Suspect #2 was described as a black female adult with bleached blond hair.
Through further investigation, Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department discovered that the victim's credit cards were fraudulently used by the suspects at several retail locations in the bay area. Surveillance images were obtained that matched the descriptions of the suspects responsible for the theft of the victim's purse.
On November 13, 2015 at approximately 1:40 p.m., Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Officers responded to a call of two black females causing a disturbance and engaged in a physical confrontation with a victim in the parking lot of Safeway located at 470 N. Santa Cruz Ave. The suspects took the victim's phone and threw it to the ground during the altercation. Both female suspects, matching the same description of the suspects from the incident on October 30, 2015, left the parking lot in a red sedan on N. Santa Cruz Ave. Officers spotted the red sedan and conducted a vehicle stop at N. Santa Cruz Ave. and Andrews St.
SHAWNISHA DONALDSON, 18 years old of Oakland, and AUDAE WILSON 18 years old of Oakland, were contacted in the vehicle and identified by officers as being the same suspects that were responsible for conducting fraudulent transactions using credit cards belonging to a victim from a previous investigation. DONALDSON and WILSON were arrested without incident, and a search of their vehicle and belongings determined that they were in possession of stolen property from other victims. Both suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for two counts of Robbery (PC 211), 1 count of Conspiracy (PC 182), and 1 count of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card (PC 484g). WILSON has an additional charge of Possession of Stolen Property (PC 496).
Detectives conducted further investigation, and believe that DONALDSON and WILSON are associated with other purse thefts from Safeway stores throughout the Bay Area.
