On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, the Town Council will consider amendments to Chapter 29 (Zoning Regulations) of the Town Code regarding fences, hedges, and walls, including regulations for the hillside area of Town.

Beach Traffic Is Back - Here Is What the Town Is Doing

Los Gatos continues to experience high levels of traffic congestion as do all cities in the Bay Area. The Town has experimented with short term adjustments over several years and learned a lot from those efforts.

The most impactful of those lessons is that putting controls in one location always shifts the traffic to another location.  Often this can create other negative impacts, such as for businesses or previously unaffected residential streets.

Press Release - Vasona Lake County Park Drowning

On April 8, 2019, at approximately 12:35 p.m. the LGMSPD Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call regarding a male that appeared to be in distress in the lake at the Santa Clara County Vasona Lake Park.

CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) training academies are offered in the communities served by the Santa Clara County Fire Department and rotate throughout the year.

Some of the skills taught include personal preparedness, organizing resources, basic medical operations, basic search and rescue, how to use a fire extinguisher and basic damage assessment.
