A Message From the Community Development Director

Dear patrons,
The Community Development Department is temporarily closed to the public.

With the latest directive from the Santa Clara County Department of County Health, our offices are closed until further notice.  We are currently not able to offer any counter services such as application and permit submittal, resubmittal, or issuance. We are still offering limited building inspection services for essential residential projects and emergency situations for inspections that can be completed via video.  This service falls within the exemptions for essential services as outlined in the directive.  Please note that while some construction is permitted to continue the Town does not recommend that any construction that is not explicitly permitted by the Order be completed.  Additionally, if contractors and property owners choose to continue construction, those projects must maintain strict compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocol regulations.

Additionally, all public meetings have been cancelled through May 4, 2020.

As the closure continues in the County and Town, we continue to explore options to provide additional limited application processing and virtual public meetings.  We are pleased to announce that we hope to have a solution to allow electronic permit submittal, resubmittal, and limited issuance on or before April 17th.  Please check the Town’s website for updates as these unique circumstances continue to evolve.

Stay safe and healthy,
Joel Paulson, Community Development Director
