The agenda for the August 16, 2016 Town Council meeting is available online. 

Town Council meetings are held regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street. Council meetings are broadcast live on KCAT-15. Live and archived videos are also available online.

South Santa Cruz Avenue Closure Resumes

The Town is continuing the pilot involving the closure of southbound South Santa Cruz Avenue at Wood Road during the weekends through September 5. The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekend day. This temporary closure means that southbound Highway 17 is inaccessible from S. Santa Cruz Avenue. Northbound freeway traffic is able to exit and enter downtown as usual. Highway 9 will be the nearest entry point to Highway 17 headed south.

During this temporary partial closure, the Town is continuing to collect data to aid in planning for future efforts to manage traffic in Town.

The Town-wide Sign Inventory Project will begin on
Monday, August 15th.

The Town has contracted with Cartegraph to complete a sign inventory.  The inventory is needed to evaluate potential sign changes to meet Federal reflectivity mandates.  Beginning August 15th for approximately two weeks, residents should expect to see a car (similar to the one in the picture) mounted with a special 360° view camera driving around the Town to collect this information.

Town of Los Gatos on 
Tuesday, November 8, 2016


ELECTION OF OFFICERS
At the time and place set forth above the election will be held for the following officers:
  • Two (2) Members of the Town Council
  • Full Term of Four (4) Years
Period for filing nomination papers: July 18, 2016 to 5:00 p.m. August 12, 2016. If any eligible incumbent does not file for re-election the extended nomination period runs until 5:00 p.m. August 17, 2016, for new candidates only. If no one or only one person is nominated for each office the Council may appoint someone to the office.
The Polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
