The Town Council has continued the public hearing on the North 40 development applications to September 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers (110 East Main Street).  The Town Council took testimony and closed the verbal public comment portion of the public hearing on August 9.  Subsequently, the Council has discussed the applications at its August 11th and 16th meetings.  The agenda materials for all meetings can be found at: http://www.town.los-gatos.ca.us/2148/Town-Council-Agenda-Minutes.

Community Meeting Notice
Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan

Thursday, September 8, 2016
6:00 to 7:30 p.m.


The Town of Los Gatos Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) will be hosting a second Community Meeting on the development of the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the Town Council Chambers located at 110 E. Main Street.
 
Preliminary recommendations on future bicycle and pedestrian projects, policies and programs will be presented.  Attendees will have an opportunity to provide comments on the recommendations, as well as suggest additional projects, policies and programs that will support bicycling and walking in the Town.

We would greatly appreciate your insight and feedback on walking, bicycling and other non-motorized modes of transportation in Los Gatos. Your responses will be crucial in helping the Town identify major issues and plan for future improvements that will make walking and biking safer and more fun.  Take the survey here.

Volunteers Needed!
Bicycle and Pedestrian Survey


Help Los Gatos become more bicycle and pedestrian friendly by signing up as a bicycle and pedestrian count volunteer!  The Town needs volunteers to help collect bicycle and pedestrian data which will be included as part of the Town’s first Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

Training sessions will be held in the Town Council Chambers, located at 110 E. Main Street. South Santa Cruz Avenue Closure Resumes

The Town is continuing the pilot involving the closure of southbound South Santa Cruz Avenue at Wood Road during the weekends through September 5. The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekend day. This temporary closure means that southbound Highway 17 is inaccessible from S. Santa Cruz Avenue. Northbound freeway traffic is able to exit and enter downtown as usual. Highway 9 will be the nearest entry point to Highway 17 headed south.

During this temporary partial closure, the Town is continuing to collect data to aid in planning for future efforts to manage traffic in Town.
