Building Safety Month

Says "Building Safety Month 2023" and includes a house logo.The month of May is Building Safety Month, and the Town of Los Gatos' Building Department is excited to teach you more about this year's theme!Says "It Starts with You!"

This year the Building Department will be stepping into the Community to answer your questions about building safety. Here are some events we have lined up:

  • May 11, 2023: Join us at the Los Gatos Library 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. to learn more about building safety and how to be prepared if disaster strikes!  This interactive lesson will teach your kids and you about Family Emergency Planning and Safety Kits to help you be more prepared should a disaster, such as a fire, earthquake, or flooding occur.  You and your child(ren) will get to draw your own emergency exit map and learn what you need to have in your safety kit(s)!
  • May 14, 2023: The Building Department will have a booth at the Los Gatos Farmers Market from 9:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Stop by and learn more about Building Safety Month and how we can all work together to create safer spaces to live, work, and play. 
  • May 21, 2023: The Building Department will have a booth at the Los Gatos Farmers Market from 9:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Stop by and learn more about Building Safety Month and how we can all work together to create safer spaces to live, work, and play.
